Chapter News - San Francisco Bay Area Chapter Visits Davis
Our Adventure to Davis CA was a Huge Success
Well after a bit of a snafu with AMTRAK, we made it to Davis, CA for a wonderful afternoon of food and art. There were 7 Alumni from Davis and 10 from the SF Bay Area. The weather was perfect, not too hot. And for those of us used to fog and cool breezes, it was a pleasant break from the norm.
We started the adventure with lunch at Paisano's restaurant, allowing us to chat endlessly and get to know each other.
We then moved on to the Natsoulas Center for the Arts, where we enjoyed a lecture from the owner, John Natsoulas about the history of the gallery. John is a curator and publisher and an expert on the Beat Generation in San Francisco. The exhibits were amazing. Three stories plus of ceramic sculptures.
Thank you Joan Straumanis for organizing the event!
