The 2025 Alumni Reunion was a weekend full of connection, reflection, and renewal. One of the most memorable highlights came on Saturday evening during the Fund a Need Dinner, where Antiochians gathered in community to celebrate our 175th anniversary and pledge support for projects that strengthen the College today and into the future.
Thanks to the generosity of alumni and friends, we raised $213,100 in support of seven vital initiatives that will have a direct and lasting impact on our students, faculty, staff, and facilities.
This year’s Fund a Need projects included:
Federal Work College Program Support: Funding for 10 student participants and matching dollars required to sustain Antioch’s designation as Ohio’s first and only Federal Work College.
Faculty Professional Development: Resources for all 21 faculty members to continue their scholarly growth and innovation in the classroom.
Antioch Kitchens Upgrades: Equipment improvements, including a new cooler and essential repairs, to keep thousands of student and community meals flowing.
Repaving the Horseshoe Drive: A much-needed project to restore one of the most visible and well-traveled areas of campus.
Campus Technology Updates: Replacement of outdated computers to ensure students, faculty, and staff have the tools they need for academic and operational success.
Campus Vehicles and Equipment Repairs: Maintenance and upgrades to keep the College’s essential fleet safe, reliable, and functional.
Learning Hubs Support: Sustaining and enhancing Antioch’s experiential learning spaces, such as the Farm, the Coretta Scott King Center, and the Wellness Center.
The evening also featured the story of incoming student Giannia Brockington-Walker, who shared her journey from the Washington DC Job Corps program to Antioch College. Giannia spoke about her excitement to join a community where learning happens both inside and outside of the classroom, and her words reminded all present of why alumni support is so critical to Antioch’s mission and its students’ futures.
The event honored the contributions of longtime staff member and alumnus Eric Miller ’81, who retired August 1, 2025 after decades of service to the College. Alumni, faculty, and staff offered warm recognition of his deep commitment and leadership, particularly his work to help Antioch earn Federal Work College designation.
Together, Antiochians once again demonstrated the power of community, raising needed support for projects that will pave the way for the next generation of students.
