Karen Mulhauser '65
The class of 1965 is celebrating its 60th graduation anniversary this year. Ten years ago we created a book of our life stories in the 50 years since graduation and many of us still have copies of the book – but others would like a copy. I ordered additional copies of This book to be available at 2025 reunion or by contacting me – kmulhauser@consultingwomen.com.
We all know how fortunate we were that Dr. Martin Luther King spoke at our graduation in 1965. Dr. King’s commitment to nonviolence was inspired by Mahatma Gandi – and Dr. King inspired millions, including me and my classmates. I remember my first ever trip to Washington, DC was in 1963 driving with Prexy Nesbitt and others to the “I have a Dream” March on Washington. And then inspired again as he spoke at our graduation.
Almost 200 classmates replied to my requests for their stories. So many memories. And the stories are such a fine demonstration of how an Antioch College education shapes a future of service, community and support.
Karen Mulhauser ‘65 lives in our nation’s capital. She was president of the Alumni Association and a trustee.
