Tim Klass '71
On July 3, Tim Klass '71 reports that he was presented a "distinguished graduate” certificate from the proton treatment center of the University of Washington-Fred Hutch Cancer Center in Seattle. Makes me the center's 5,846th patient to complete proton treatment, in my case 15 sessions of lying on a cold gurney and getting zapped with positive beams of energy for about 20 minutes each. In six weeks I get an MRI to see if I still have any trace of cancer from a liver tumor. Before then, I eagerly anticipate the birth of a second grandchild. Life goes on.
